SPS Free Block is Biomecanica´s patent
On September 03rd, 2009, Biomecanica had its application for the patent for the SPS Free-Block System published in the United States, and it was formalized in March 2010 in Brazil.
The International Patent certifies Biomecanica the right to market the product as a pioneer of the lock ring system in plates for bone synthesis.
The product, created by the engineer José Roberto Pengo, President of Biomecanica, provides fracture fixation using a plate-screw system, where the surgeon is able to change the angle (free angles) of the screws, providing greater accuracy and safety at the time of final tight with the locking of the screw on the plate through the lock ring.
